Fan Zones await you
Fan zones will grow in Prague and Ostrava
The preparation for the World Championship are finishing as well as the preparation of the traditional fan zones where the fans can find big screens broadcasting some of the games live and other programs.
Therefore you can enjoy the Worlds with everything you need not only in the arenas. The fan zones cover an area of 9,5 sq. km and will have presentations by the official sponsors and partners of the World Championship.
Fans can get tuned for all games there. The fan zones will be accessible for all fans no matter whether they own tickets or not. Come to the fan zones and help create a unique atmosphere!
The Fan Zones will be split in two parts: the Expo Zone with stands of tournament partners and the Refreshment Zone with a rich entertainment program.
There will be stands of all official partners of the 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship in the Expo Zone. You can look forward to many different activities waiting for you.
In the Refreshment Zone some of the games will be broadcasted on the big screen live. Fans will have the opportunity to buy food and beverages and have a lot of fun from the supporting program as well.
The supporting program will include drum shows; beat box sets by En.Dru and Nasty or Czech stand-up show ‘Na stojaka’ in Prague’s Fan Zone. There will also be many contest and other activities.
In Ostrava, there will be the biggest LED screen [100 sq. m] in the region ready for all fans. The supporting program will be secured by a plenty of bands such as Lake Malawi, Kabat Revival, Legendy se vraci, Lucie Revival, Rock And Roll Band of Marcel Woodman, Uspech, U2 Revival, Made in 60’s, Queen Revival, BandaBand, Nightwish Revival, Nagauc and Drum Shows Kupcik and Jumping Drums.
Continue readingThe Fan Zones in Prague will be opened every game day of the championship. In case of the first game starting at 12:15, it will be opened as of 10:00, if the first game starts at 16:15, it will open at 12:00. In Ostrava, the Fan Zone will opened at 10:00 in case of first match starting at 12:15 or at 14:00 if the first game starts at 16:15. The Fan Zones will be closed at 23:00 every day.
The Official Main Sponsor of the World Championship – Škoda Auto – will have its own big tent in the Fan Zone. There you can find a photo wall with all participating nations. Official fan products can be bought in a big shopping tent that will be provided by Swedish company NeH as the official merchandising partner. From other activities, we can mention barbers for men, face painting, different contests or a possibility to bet on results of the games.
You can also look forward to classic Czech hockey food: sausages, potato pancakes, pizza or marinated pork and chicken steak.
