The 2015 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championship is getting endorsed by famous people. One of them is former Czech star player Ivan Lendl.

The Ice Hockey World Championship is coming up in May 2015 in Prague and Ostrava. After an 11-year absence, this enormous sporting event is returning to the Czech Republic it's going to be a huge festival of sports and entertainment for everyone.

“I am looking forward to it. I always watch the Worlds, even though it is at the same time as the Stanley Cup,” says Lendl, who can skate but doesn't dare to play hockey anymore. “I'm too old for that,” the former top-ranked player in the world and eight-time grand-slam champion said with a smile on his face.

Lendl is a big hockey fan, and used to often attend games in his childhood. His biggest hockey memory is from the 1972 Worlds, where Czechoslovakia won the gold medal on home ice in Prague. Lendl was only 12 years old at the time.

“The atmosphere will be great not only in Ostrava, but in the whole Czech Republic. It will be even better if it goes well for our boys," adds the Ostrava-born Lendl.

This time, the former Czech tennis star will be there to watch it live. And you? To live it, you have to see it!
